Wines

The vineyard is present almost everywhere in the hills of the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero.
It is a presence that is landscape, history, customs, habits, in other words is the foundation for the economy and crucial for the survival of the people in towns and farms.

These prestigious vineyards produce excellent grapes for premium wines.
Barolo, a "d.o.c.g." wine that, thanks to its unique organoleptic qualities, is one of the finest wines in Italy and, indeed, the world.
Barbaresco, another "d.o.c.g." wine, is considered exceptional for the delicacy of its bouquet and flavor and constitutes an ideal accompaniment for some of the great local specialties.
Nebbiolo, an ancient wine known since 1600 being drunk at the House of Savoy. The vine is considered the "father" of the previous two; in Roero takes the name of the territory itself.
Grignolino, typical of the Monferrato hills, with its delicate taste and persistent bouquet is a wine of great value.
Dolcetto and Barbera, two great wines which are ideal for all courses, have no borders and are often found on the tables of the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero areas.

Among the territory's finest dessert wines, we can cite "d.o.c.g." Brachetto d'Acqui, refined and pleasant, Moscato and Asti Spumante, which are common denominators of both Langhe and Monferrato regions. Roero, on the other hand, boasts a Brachetto wine known as "birbet": these wines are among the most exported in the world, famous for their unique and inimitable bouquets and flavors.

Pelaverga is beginning to establish itself as a popular wine among consumers for its fresh and enjoyable bouquet, so as to obtain the designation of origin (d.o.c.).
Although this region is particularly famous for the excellence of its red wines, in Roero two prestigious white wines are getting a great success for their young and delicate pleasure: Arneis, d.o.c. wine, and Favorita.

A regional law, in order to enhance the wines, has created public wine bars as a reference point for the tourist. They are located in castles and noble buildings with exhibition and tasting areas, offering an extensive overview of the producers in the territory's finest vine-growing regions, mainly producing D.O.C. and D.O.C.G wines.
